After a busy weekend my Mum and I decided to have a meal out together to relax and not have to worry about washing up!With limited options on a Sunday night, we chose the RSL Club Bistro and we were very happy with our choice. I had a ginormous parma and Mum had the 200g scotch fillet, which were both respectively delicious. Dinner for two cost us $19 (thanks to a Woolies shopper docket 2-for-1 deal). The service was... We were out for the evening with friends, we ordered our meals and told 1/2 wait but it ended up being over an hour. When we got our meals (the ones that ordered chips) were cold and my husband' s meal was not what was ordered, he ordered chips with cutlets and gravy but received cutlets and cold vegetables with gravy. We all got our meals as soon as the buzzer went off so no reason for cold meals. View all feedback.
We had a very nice meal at the Services Club. The club had a good friendly atmosphere and the service was pleasant and efficient. The lambs fry was very nice and the steak was perfectly cooked. They have a good selection of local wines at the bar. The cost our meal and the rest of our night at the club was quite reasonable.
Early winter and a freezing Monday night and we expected to be the only customers but the place was packed. The food is “great pub” and excellent value for money. I do worry about the level of food wastage they might have because the serves are HUGE. The receptionist/concierge is an absolute treasure. He gave us a full run down of the club and then showed us the short sun to our motel a sit was raining. This was a real gem.
We were staying in the Motel next door to the club so we thought we would go to the club for a meal the same night. We ordered our food and waited an hour and 15 minutes. Finally, I approached the counter and asked what was happening with our order. We were then told that they were short staffed in the kitchen and our meal would take another 20 minutes. We then asked for the manager, who provided us with a refund. Altogether not a great experience. If we had been told initially when we placed our order, that there would be an extended waiting time, we could have gone for a walk, come back later, or dined elsewhere, but to have us sit and wait all that time, was not really customer focussed , I feel.
Great helpful service as soon as you step through the door but I was on a mission for a meal. Big eating area and a great kids room...I didn't have any kids or grandies with me but can appreciate these things. T-bone steak for $20, I really thought my luck had changed. Hubby wasn't that hungry so got chicken wings entree. $12 I think for spicey pieces, 6 I think and chips with aoili. Spicy yes but I could eat it so just right. I wish I had my phone with to take a photo to send to my t-bone mad mate.... the biggest plate I had seen for a while complete with full t-bone, salad, chips and the best dianne sauce I have had in ages. The steak being on the bone was a little under in places...the varying width in the meat, and a t-bone can have a little grissel but hay would I go back for another one...**** oath!! Did I mention my cocktail for $10.....
Can't believe the poor reviews, just as well we didn't read them before dining here. We went on a Sunday night and noticed the baked dinner was on special for $10.00. We noticed someone picking a pork belly roast up and asked whether it was the same as the special. It was. There were two generous portions of pork belly on the plate, with a variety of well baked vegetables. It was delicious, the surroundings were modern and clean and the conversation we had with a few locals was great. Highly recommend it. Cheaper than any drinks in Sydney too.
