Well chosen attractive menus and good selected wine. Bring time with you and be patient with the service in this small restaurant. It's our first visit and never the last. View all feedback.
Have been at least three times since it came under new management. There is a seriously good chef working here and they are trying to do something honest, high quality. But I'm not convinced the place will survive: as several other reviewers have mentioned, there is something slightly sad about the decor and the restaurant is in a difficult position on a street swamped with traffic, marooned between two village centres. They are over keen on 'crushed' potatoes (pointless half-way house between boiled and mash) but otherwise everything we've ever eaten has been very good. Wine is well-chosen -- try a Henry Pelle Menetou Salon! Service is too slow and being warned that it is going to be doesn't really make you feel any less grumpy about it. Something has stopped me going back and that's a shame because food is very good.
We picked this neighborhood restaurant to entertain an out-of-town guest, and we were not disappointed! The 35-euros fixed price menu (for a 3-course dinner) is based on traditional French cuisine (baked fish filet, simmered lamb shank) but the chef added his personal twist when choosing the accompaniment: sunchoke, leeks, rutabaga, etc.Worth a second trip.
Excellent service (the owner assisted us), lovely setting (small restaurant), delicious food (everything was perfect), a perfectly delightful meal.
