Simple and stunning citron tarte tasted just as good as it looks! Whipped labneh with the beets and apples was a lovely combination. Clam and lobster chowder was hearty and filling… The continuous renovations are amazing, but the food and people are what makes the Blue Door a one of a kind place to dine. View all feedback.
What Food Loop doesn't like about The Blue Door Cafe and Bakery:
Second time here and we were thrilled with the first visit so we came back again to a much different experience. Staff was great but food was not. Limited menu due to renovation, prices were ridiculous high for portion size and lackluster taste. View all feedback.
This is my favorite restaurant around hands down. They take pride in using quality ingredients and all their dishes and perfectly planned down to the smallest details for the best taste and presentation. It?s a popular place, for goodreason, especially on weekends. We always go right when they open or utilize the wait list system. Every week I hop on theirwebsite to check out the specials which so many are very special! Their bacon is also beyond and they do flights of that if youare into that kind of thing.
My wife and I have lived in Hawaii, California, Texas, and New York so restaurants are something we are a little experienced in. This place is truly unique- you can tell even just standing while you wait for your seats. As the foods come out for otherpatrons you can see that these are handcrafted beautifully assembled dishes by master chiefs. The food is of high quality anddelicious- we live in Brecksville but the drive is totally worth it. You gotta try this place at least once.
Not sure how I've never left a review here yet. I've been frequenting Blue Door for years now. Honestly, nothing has even come close to touching this place for more reasons than one. Absolutely top notch on every level. The owner is awesome. He's greatwith customers and keeping his restaurant a place people wait hours for. Their head chef is just..... *chefs kiss*. Absolutetalented sweet heart. It's not rare to see him walking through the dining room checking on guests. It's just such a welcomingplace. All the staff is incredible. I've never had an experience less than perfect. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet.Lord have mercy. I will say, the prices are more than your average breakfast spot. HOWEVER, one taste experience there willshow you why. Their food is truly a work of art, created woth local organic ingredients. The portions are enough to feed twoor three people. And they're anything from the norm. The specials are always to die for and so unique. If you're a simpleperson, they have literally the best thick bacon, eggs, English muffins (made in house) I've ever had. I could honestly go onforever, but I hope you'll take the time to find out for yourself!
Hands down some of the best brunch food in all of Ohio!! You can tell that everything is made with quality ingredients, the drinks and food are always incredible, baked goods are delicious, and service is top-notch. Their corned beef hash is one of ourfavorite regular menu items, but we?d recommend trying their seasonal dishes too, as they change regularly.
This place has no need for good reviews. It needs to close at 2pm in order to recuperate from being bum-rushed by adoring customers. I spent more than $30 but I also ordered the most expensive item on the menu and bought a loaf of sourdough bread togo. I bought the loaf to spread this phenomenal experience throughout the rest of my week. It?s a large crusty loaf of sourdoughso my plan is to finish it off by making French toast and croutons if it turns hard before I have a chance to eat it all. In thefuture I plan to stop by to at least pickup a loaf and probably one of their phenomenal looking chocolate croissants when Idon?t have the time to stay and eat. I sat at the bar across from the kitchen window and everything looked so good it made itdifficult for me to choose one main course from the menu. When the waiter asked me what I will have I chose the steak and eggsbecause that happened to be what I was reading about at the time and my thought was ?how can I go wrong?? It was outstanding.Next time I will go for either their strawberry blintzes or something involving one of their croissants. If your hungry, youreally don?t have to worry about walking away dissatisfied or hungry. I suggest ordering what ever seems the tastiest to you atthe moment. This place is a treasure to the community it serves.
