First time popping into this little spot. Clean as could be and very friendly. Service was quick and fast given that it was lunch time. Had the Pho and it was fabulous View all feedback.
What DORIS K dislikes about Pho Hoang Minh:
I ordered lemon grass chicken and pork but seems that they don't know the recipe. It is supposed to be a mixture of sour and sweet but it was weird flavor. Also, the meat was very smelly, so I couldn't eat at all. If they ever tried lemon grass dishes, they wouldn't make the source like that. So disappointed and I will not go there again. Customer service was nice but the matter is food.. View all feedback.
Our favourite spot to get pho and egg rollsWe also tried the #14 and decided it would be our 'summer favourite' when pho would be too hot to eat.
I saw this place on yelp and looked at the reviews so I decided to go.
I eat here a lot because I live next door and it's difficult to find Vietnamese nearby.
We were seated right away. We were given utensils but 2 spoons were stuck together with crusted dried sauce. The pork with black bean sauce was BBQ pork instead of regular pork meat, and was rather salty. The vermicelli bowls noodles were bland but the grilled pork and beef were tasty. Don’t get the rice paper rolls with the pork mixture. The rice powder mixed into the pork makes it more crumbly. I’ve had better pho experience than here. They also don’t tell you they will add 4% surcharge if you pay with credit. I would not come here again.
The food and service is great as a family type restaurant. But I was not informed about them charging extra 4% for paying with credit card.
