I was impressed with the COVID 19 standard at this venue. Recording of patron's details and provision of hand sanitiser in the dining room and bathrooms was a welcome site. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and well presented. We had a seafood basket and it was very fresh and a generous serve. The chef was very jolly. I would highly recommend it. View all feedback.
What bobjanh doesn't like about Del Rock Cafe:
This is a lovely hotel offering a pleasant dining room with an excellent menu: much of which can be done gluten free. : prices are OK. I had pulled pork nachos which were good, my wife the fish and chips. Both servings were very generous. Alcoholic ginger beer available on tap. View all feedback.
Although tables started to fill noise levels were low. I have a hearing problem and can not hear in noisy environments this place allowed me to hear the conversation across our table. Food was good and prompt the service was excellent.
We stayed in the accommodation (review elsewhere) and enjoyed a superb meal. The restaurant was very busy and from where we sat we could see the kitchen staff working feverishly to present top quality meals to everyone very quickly. The two young girls working in the dinning room were outstanding ... pleasant, smiling faces seeking to assist. Highly recommended.
So glad we tried it, we will return. The service was great for one girl by herself on a busy Sunday. (Young slim blonde girl with facial piercings). She was very efficient, polite and looked after all tables alone - a special WELL DONE. She was friendly, efficient and not flustered. Food was good and pub was lovely and old but done up nicely and toilets were very modern and CLEAN.
Upon arrival we were offered water by hostess Rebecca while we purveyed the menu and the specials board. Sunday lunch was being enjoyed by two tables out of nine in the main room whilst the second dining area has six quiet tables. We were followed-in by a family of four just as we ordered our mains and drinks. The keen eyed waitress noticed a missing item of cutlery and replaced it immediately. Our meals arrived soon after and were ample and perfectly prepared. M/R steak was correctly cooked whilst tasted of charcoal. The shank was large and the tender meat readily separated from its bone. Vegies were fresh and al dente- not raw nor soggy.
Visited Liffey Falls via Great Lake road Sunday and we decided to drop in for a meal on the way back home. Great service and meals. Recommend the battered fish and lamb hamburger. ...yummy. Warm facilities and well worth tipping.
