Contribute FeedbackArbutus at the Forum offers a mixed dining experience that has garnered attention from patrons. While the food is generally well-prepared and presented, many diners find the menu options limited and prices steep, particularly with supplementary charges on certain dishes. However, the welcoming and attentive staff have been praised for providing excellent service, whether for a full meal or a shared dessert. Recent visitors enjoyed ample portions and appreciated the convenience of the location before concerts or events. Overall, Arbutus stands out for its hospitality but could improve in value and menu variety.
We went here for a meal before going to a concert. We thought the menu choice was quite poor. Also 2 courses for £18 but most main dishes had a supplementary. Starter was very very small. Food was average.
Just enjoyed a lovely meal before the Neil Delamare show. Very tasty food. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Dinner was listed as 2 courses for £18 but the only fish dish had a £2 supplement meaning the 2 courses were actually £20. I feel it is overpriced and not a great choice of dishes on the Menu. Very disappointed.
My companions and I went for lunch and, although we enjoyed the food, we found it to be too expensive. Even with the option of adding additional courses for a set price, some dishes still required additional payment. The deals weren't really much of a bargain. There are other restaurants in town that offer better value for a Saturday lunch.
While we were at a show and didn't have time for a full meal, the wonderful staff at Arbutus allowed us to sit and share a dessert. They warmly welcomed us even though we only spent a little. That is great service.
