Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in Downey advertises itself as the best spot for breakfast, but some customers found the food to be average and not worth the price, resulting in a 3-star rating. Criticisms included overly sweet banana cream cake and lackluster biscuits and gravy. However, positive reviews highlighted the crispy hash browns and full stack of pancakes, with great service and a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant's historical charm, classic diner favorites, and homemade desserts were also praised. Overall, while some diners were disappointed in certain aspects of the experience, others found it to be a delightful, mom-and-pop restaurant with a unique atmosphere and delicious fare.
Yummy! we celebrate the Mexican Mother's Day. my mother loved eating. large taste and freshly made to order. when they are in the neighbourhood, they stop and ask them to sit in armandos area. his service is phenomenal, he is very humble and attentive to their needs.
Great all American nostalgic diners, great service waiters and waiters are super friendly. I ate breakfast or brunch and everything was delicious! if I lived in the neighbourhood, I would be a rule can not wait to go back when I am in the city
I came with my mother and father after the church every Sunday Mr and Mrs Porter love this restaurant
Bought a banana cream cake and the whip cream was much too sweet and much too much. The Custard was runny and taste like shop bought pudding. Bananas felt like they were frozen and frozen. will not buy more cake from here
Historical location with great homestyle atmosphere. Wide selection of classic diner favorites and homemade desserts. We tried the Belgian waffle, Veggie Omelett and a raspberry cream cheesecake. The prices were something on the pricier side for Diner fare, but everything was delicious and service was great.
