Marmalade is a great spot for locals to catch up, as has been noted, or passing trade to grab a quick coffee, take away muffin or thick shake. The coffee here is lovely and the croissant was delicious. The simplicity of the place really works well. The staff is very nice too. I enjoy coming here for a coffee and breakfast before doing my grocery shopping.
This suburban cafe is truly excellent. The owner has a history in upscale dining (Julio's in West Perth). The kitchen team is reliable and the menu offers consistently high quality dishes. The coffee is consistently excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. Overall, this cafe is one of the best in the northern suburbs.
There are a few things that could be improved at this local cafe. It is conveniently open all weekend, but it could greatly benefit from some changes. Located inside a shopping center, it would be more attractive if it were situated on the perimeter of the building, offering outdoor seating. The interior is unattractive, and the beautiful park across the road or the trees in the back could enhance the atmosphere. A more modern decor would also add a wow factor. The food is delicious, although it is a bit pricey. The service can be inconsistent. Overall, if these improvements were made, I would visit more often.
My Review of Marmelade. Love this cafe!!! and I'm not impressed. I came here with some friends after playing some tenis.ordered eggs benny. I was unsure what to order, and although not busy she looked fed up! so I .ordered eggs benny. Its a real shame. I'm disappointed to say Friendly staff great service. Highly recommend.
Much better than the average. Usually call in here for Saturday lunch and it gets better and better. Agree the service used to be a bit off but certainly now there is always a warm welcome and helpful advice. Today the special was seafood risotto and it was delicious. And the chips are some of the best on our 'chip meter '. Food is always fresh and varied and they know that a half strength long black still needs to taste like coffee.
