We had a fantastic lunch at Flyers. We enjoyed chicken quesadilla with Caesar salad and spinach asparagus crepes. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, although a bit reserved as it was close to closing time. We also took home some baked treats from the bakery for afternoon coffee. Despite the long drive, we will definitely be returning in the future. View all feedback.
What Martinho Roque doesn't like about Flyer's Cafe & Bakery:
Quaint unusual cafe with character, original floorboards and retro decor. Fresh breads, soups, baked goods. We ordered ½ soup ½ sandwiches, both were delicious and generous servings. Would have ordered coffee and dessert but waitress never returned and even though there were plenty of staff...and not busy at the time, no one else came to ask if we wanted anything else. Nice atmosphere. You can go look at local art before ordering some homemade bake goods or meals. They do close at 3pm so they're not a good place for dinner. More for breakfast and brunch
This place is great! We ate here twice while visiting family and both times the food was seriously impressive. It has all my favorites - corned beef hash, crispy bacon, real corn bread and melt in your mouth cheddar cheese biscuits (really croissants.) They also have hot turkey sandwiches which I am sure are also great and must try if I ever get past the breakfast menu. All the food I ate growing up and well done.I did not try the deserts but they looked very good. My wife had the mince meat pie and confirms its' deliciousness.I saw other reviews complaining of long waits and cold food and held off my review to see how my next visit went and we did not have any problems.This is good old fashioned home cooked food and reasonably priced.
What can I say, the service was terribly slow. The food was okay. I had pancakes and they tasted the same as any from the package. Would not come back.
Great service reasonable prices nice atmosphere very community minded staff very well mannered. Breakfast brunch and lunch only closes around three.
