First time to this restaurant. Restaurant is spacious. We were promptly seated. The menu is extensive with many appetizers and sushi rolls. It’s an Asian fusion restaurant, so there are also Chinese, Thai dishes as well. We got mostly Japanese dishes. Everything was delicious. Generous portions. Waitress was so friendly, attentive, and our drinks were always full. View all feedback.
What Sofia Scott doesn't like about Sushi Love Durham .:
I’m Asian and would consider myself a sushi connoisseur, this tastes just as bad as the prepared sushi at the grocery stores. It definitely had potential if the rice wasn’t over cooked or swollen from being made with too much water. That’s how Asians prepare food for babies by adding extra water. That’s ridiculous I paid $36 for this tiny plate of sushi I could not even eat. The second photo is a close-up of how tran... View all feedback.
The Spicy Hand Roll Combo Dinner was super tasty and filling! Takoyaki was delicious. And the sauce with the salad was amazing.
The pad Thai was overly sweet. The sushi was flavorless and soggy. Ive had better sushi from grocery store and college campus.
The crispy cups are really great, but do note that they are served cold. California roll was good as well, and cake was huge!
Zero Stars if possible. The ABSOLUTE worse meal I have experienced this year. Ordered house fried rice and Black Widow roll. BWR was warm, who wants warm sushi. The entire roll was sopping wet. I have no idea why, and the flavor was awful. The house fried rice was simply gross. Shrimp way overcooked and hard/rubbery. Rice had zero flavor and. The part that was the worst was the meal actually smelled like wet animal fur. 36.00 for this. I would not pay .36 for this meal. Will never order from this location again.
We ordered 4 different rolls, and all were absolutely amazing! possibly the most original and creative sushi I tried!
