The view from this restaurant is breathtaking! The outdoor setting is absolutely stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak salad, which was delicious and creatively prepared. The service was impeccable. This restaurant is a must-visit! View all feedback.
What Novella Koch doesn't like about Beaver Hall:
We managed to talk them into giving us a prime table by the front window, so it was a great start. Unfortunately, after that, we were underwhelmed by both the food and the service; particularly the service. Our waiter seemed bored, and he actually scoffed at some of our questions about the menu and some of our original choices. Maybe it was because we didn't order drinks or wine. In the end, we went for simple fare,... View all feedback.
On y retournera.
Great evening out in Montreal! Great food, friendly service, cosy restaurant, and reasonable price. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner - just what you like about dining out. The pricing was also really reasonable for a high end restaurant, and there are various food and price combinations. The 4 of us also enjoyed 2 bottles of reasonably priced rosé. Definitely a restaurant to go back too!
The atmosphere was great. This review is based off of a $250 lunch for 4 and the main I had (seabass, feature of the day). If your with a client and writing it off for work I would suggest checking it out but if going for a personal meal I would recommend elsewhere. We had the tomato salad, Foie gras, calamari and then our mains. The apps were good. The fish of the day was very underwhelming, luckily their beer selection was awesome so that helped! If i were to return I would get the beef tar tar, it looks way better than the fish.
In the end, we went for simple fare, my dining partner choosing the house Angus burger, and I had the beef carpaccio. Both were adequate but nothing special. This restaurant and its chef have a good reputation in Montreal, but I have to say that we weren't particularly impressed by anything at Beaver Hall. For us, it was a very average dining experience.
