Terrible service, mistakes with my order, never got asked about wine during courses, charged extra for sharing a pasta dish when we both had already ordered starters and main course. Waiter was rude and condescending, maître'd cleared our table and slapped down a dessert menu before we ate our main course. Vince and the crew were so professional and welcomed with top notch service. eating was delicious, everyone worth penny. a must try!
I asked the waiter if they had pasta with no cheese because I am lactose intolerant and there was cheese in my pasta sauce. That is not very good customer service especially at a high end place.
Good food and nice people. The service was good in the beginning but near the end it started to take too long… coffee was served cold. Meh..
The restaurant is not adapted to the new generation (50 years and younger). 8 server, one by one, pour 8 drops of water into the glass. Who is our captain? decor from 1990. bad music. how was eating? perfect! great eating, ok service, bad ambiente and decor.
Very disappointed by our culinary experience at da vinci and the entire service last night! our experience was quite creepy. the concierge in the four seasons montreal recommended this close restaurant, but this should be removed from the FS list of recommended and a follow-up to be very suggested with the gm or owner. as guests we had to: • ask for water service • ask for wine service; then wait. • talk to a server and a hostess to let them know “Have they forgotten about us?” • ask for a second glass wee • ask them then ordered. eating was pretty good. the restaurant was beautiful with local, elegant art. we have, however, very disappointed, as after the concierge recommendation, including a local artist and friend, we had such high hopes.
