What Gerda Kunze doesn't like about Thursday's Montreal:
This afternoon we were about 25 people celebrating an 85th birthday. The food that was served was really low quality. I had the burger plate that was dry and tasteless. The fries were about the quality of McDonalds . The large birthday cake was frozen solid and even after complaining to the staff no other dessert was offered as a replacement. Shrimp appetizer was a disappointment. Pizza was soggy. Truffle fries were excellent. Service was great. Food was not. My husband and I enjoyed happy hour and brunch and I was excited to bring my daughter here for dinner. It was okay but lots of room for improvement.
Really enjoyed everything! Very fresh, great flavor and attentive service, we will definitely go back!
I was called by Tom George to let me know that they were not going to be serving brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to reschedule for dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my party a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm on Sunday as I scheduled to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant did not call the next day and I decided I will not try to eat there again. So on Sunday I went to LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel where we had a lovely dinner which I knew I would because I have been there before.I do not know whose responsibility it is on Open Table to be sure the information about a restaurant is up to date and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me at any restaurant before.
We enjoyed our experience here. Reasonable price for quality food and service. That's hard to find in DT LA these days. We will go back!
