Gone downhill dramatically. Food very poor quality and service chaotic. Been going here for few years but in last few months food quality has gone downhill. New chef? We went to the restaurant for an early dinner on a weekday evening. It was quite busy but not completely full, and the service was quick. We ordered starters and mains, except for one friend who chose a starter as their main, which the waiter happily accommodated. The starters were decent, and the mussels were particularly good value with a nice sauce. However, both my wife and I were disappointed with the special pork loin dish we ordered for our mains. The meat was tough and difficult to eat, leading my wife to give up after a few bites. When she mentioned this to the waiter, he simply laughed and walked away. When it came time to pay, my wife mentioned again that she couldn't eat the pork due to its toughness, and the server apologized but offered no further resolution. Overall, we were not satisfied with the customer service and feel that in such situations, it's best to insist on a change in the food immediately.
Hi. I thought the food was good and the atmosphere was also good. BUT. We both ordered a large glass of wine. Our wine came back in a smallish glass of wine. Certainly not a large one!! I felt ripped off!

Found this place by accident, we were just wandering around Edinburgh for the day. The staff were excellent, very polite and friendly My wife had minestrone soup as a starter(said it was as good as mine,so MUST have been rather good
Good food, friendly staff… we didn’t book and we had a good service and romantic night with my wife.
