This review is long overdue, but this is hands-down my favorite restaurant in Edmonton! Yes, the location is a bit rough, but the food is delicious, cheap and fresh, and we always have nice interactions with the sisters running the place. What Taylor M doesn't like about Veggie Garden Restaurant:
Ordered pad thai that came with no peanuts, bean sprouts, lime or anything that resembled pad thai.. just noddles, tofu, celery and a very strange sauce. Also got the yellow tofu curry which had about 65% bamboo shoots and overall reminded me of dyed glue with no flavour but yet was offensive to eat... wow, also didn 't come with rice. A great option for vegan food in downtown. Support a local family business that offers delicious food that everyone can afford. It will take a long time to taste all their dishes, the menu has so many tempting offers. I look forward to every visit and recommend it very much!
We picked up a delicious dinner tonight. Cooked right then and came home still warm for our hungry family Thank you for preparing such a good meal for us and for being so kind. We appreciate it.
Great food! Can do lots of vegan options. So tasty
If you like Padmanadi or vietnamese food, or are vegetarian, make sure to come here. Service is very warm, welcoming, friendly, and quick. The food was delicious and good sizes.
A delicious, friendly, beautifully decorated, courtesy restaurant with a varied menu that offers a good value for money. A simple walk from attractions such as the Royal Alberta Museum and the Rogers Centre, but I would recommend going a bit cautious alone in the neighborhood after the dark. Very recommended!
