While some have found the food overpriced or lacking in portion size, others rave about the excellent service, great beer selection, and dog-friendly patio. Customers have enjoyed dishes like the pumpkin bisque, charcuterie board, and French toast, as well as the live music and attentive staff. Overall, White Oak Tavern is praised for its farm-to-table concept, tasty food, and accommodating service, making it a must-try dining spot for any occasion.
That was great. service a bit slow but also great atmosphere
Food is solid, beer selection is superb and service is awesome
I wanted a burger and The White Oak Tavern delivered. I really liked that I could sub a soup or salad for fries for a small fee. The pumpkin bisque was delicious. The caesar salad had too much dressing but was still better then fries for me.
Thursday 4pm birthday dinner for four. Tasty but not inspired charcuterie platter for the birthday girl (with large enough baguette to actually enjoy the cheese, sausage, and condiments); one baby kale salad and one harvest salad, both with chicken, that were nicely balanced with greens, veggies, and chicken; one bacon chutney burger with extra crispy fries. All were tasty and we certainly were not hungry. An unexpected complimentary slice of peanut butter pie for dessert was a nice thought, but was the downside of the meal sadly, the filling was pasty and lacked much flavor. Nice selection of brews, wines, and cocktails. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient and said that they make everything fresh “from scratch”. The restaurant filled up quickly. They have tables, bar seating, and they must have live music at times there was a small stage area in the front half of the restaurant. They even have food for your pet dog seriously although I hope they are seated outdoors as there are many of us with allergies! We’d go back it was a comfortable space, the food was good, the prices were on the higher moderate side (but everywhere is/has gone up, so that might not be fair to say at this time). Try it!
I had Brussels sprouts and steak. I frequently eat at Long Horn, and unfortunately, the steak didn't compare!
