I recently had a date night with my husband here. It was an impromptu decision but the staff could not have been more welcoming. Everything was covid compliant and we felt very comfortable. The food was delicious, a real treat after having dinner at home for over a year!! Service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend to a friend and will return! View all feedback.
What Viv L doesn't like about Rowan Tree Cafe:
Very poor attitude from the manager on duty today, very unprofessional and rude to someone who's total bill came to 85 Euros . Meal deffinatly not worth its price. Used to be a loveley spot few years ago. Would not recommend, had fish and chips for main course fish tasted defrosted and plain. Although manager/supervisor insisted it was fresh this morning perhaps freshly caught for us from the river Fergus located out... View all feedback.
I came across this restaurant in the Rick Steves' guidebook and decided to try it after seeing positive reviews from other Yelp users. The menu offers a variety of options ranging from salads and soup to pizza and pasta. We tried the Super Food salad, which was delicious with a combination of butternut squash, beets, pomegranate, tomato, and pine nuts. The pizza was decent, with good flavor. The dessert options looked tempting and they have a wide selection of wines. The beer selection is limited to bottles and cans, including Guinness, Bulmers, Tiger, and O'Hara's craft brewery. The service was good and the view of the river outside the window was lovely. If I find myself back in Ennis, I would definitely return to this restaurant.
This charming restaurant is located next to the adorable hostel in a small town in Ireland. The food is delightful and has a Mediterranean influence. Don't miss out on the amazing desserts!
Service was a bit slow, BUT there were only two lovely ladies on the floor, and it was very busy, so I won't hold it against them. The food arrived less than 5 minutes after I ordered, so I really can't complain. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely keep eating here during my short stay!
I have eaten at the Rowan Tree several times during my annual trips to Ennis. It has always been good. The setting and the service have always been excellent. Last week I brought a party of five for dinner. Everyone was blown away. They have really stepped it up. One of my guests from Brooklyn had the calzone and marveled that it was the best he had ever had. All the appetizers were excellent as was every entree. Great service, beautiful dinning room with attentive service at reasonable price. Great for formal and family dinning. A great spot for a light lunch brunch or just a cup of coffee and a scone
Lovely little restaurant in Ennis. We were soaked and cold from the Cliffs of Moher and wanted something to eat. The food was delicious and would definitely recommend. The chowder was the best I had in Ireland. Pasta dishes also looked really good.
