Colonial Cottage Inn - Erlanger

I found this place on a whine and looked for breakfast with friends. I love the support of local restaurants, and this restaurant has been a local institution for 85 years. I have to give it to our server Ashley, who treated us like a friend. Even the manager and the bus boy came to talk to us. It's rare! Our meals were huge and we were filled like hotel cushions. Nice building. Parking is tricky, but a visit here is worth it. GREAT staff, GREAT atmosphere and GREAT food.

This place was a go-to for house style cooking since I came back here in '97. But for unknown reasons, I never tried the roasted chicken... until today. I had the desire and the time (contains 20 minutes), and was worth every moment of waiting. The chest is always the telltal sign of good roasted chicken. It is often dry and tasteless. Not that chicken. Each bite was delicate, juicy and full of taste. The crust was perfectly crispy without as much as a hint of fatness. I went for the 4-piece meal, so I would have left behind later. Really the best roasted chicken in NKY, if not the world. You have to eat here!

Dinner with friends we like to try restaurants that we have not yet been, so decided to give the Colonial Cottage an attempt for a Saturday night there was no waiting on the seat of our server was friendly and happy to give a little slow service but we were 't in a hurry so 't at least the wait, the food is house style comfort food so understand why the restaurant was most older customers. Don't let that go because the food was delicious the fried green beans were awesome, catfish and steak the next time, I want to try the chicken and see how good it is. Definitely a good culinary experience.

My husband and I often eat breakfast here. So much that we have a favorite server, Michele. Service is great! They house my keto diet I under toast with tomato potatoes for cottage cheese.

Great food, great service. The hotcakes I ordered were delicious! Definitely recommend!
