Farneralp - Eschenbach (SG)

This is a typical hiker's restaurant of a more or less rustic style. The food is down-to-earth Swiss style but rather hearty and tasty. The price is reasonable. They are opened 365 days in a year, run by a friendly Swiss couple who do everything themselves, so there is family touch to the service. They have also home-made desserts. Kids might enjoy this place since they have some sheep and cattles around the restaurant. We did enjoy our meals.

Dear bird22…. Coincidentally, I was also in this restaurant at the same time...the boss was briefly at the front without a mask, that's true but with an appropriate distance! Likewise the staff always with a distance! At her intervention, the waitress even apologized, in my opinion absolutely not aggressive...Isn't it also negligent if the staff has to perform at their best every day behind the mask so that they fall into bed with a headache in the evening?

Nice mountain restaurant where you can get there on foot or by bike. Prices a bit too high for my taste. I ate some delicious nut cake. I'll be back because of the location

Very nice restaurant with nice playground good food.

Mit Kind auf dem Schlitten ein sportlicher Aufstieg vom Parkplatz Chrinnen in die Farneralp aber es lohnt sich! Kann etwas eisig sein auf der Abfahrt, besonders der Auslauf direkt zum Parkplatz/Strasse ist etwas gefährlich und schlecht geschützt. Im Grossen und Ganzen aber ein empfehlenswerter Schlitten-Ausflug!
