Contribute FeedbackWas there with my mother, since I had tried out the restaurant sometime during spring with a friend and it was, without doubt, delicious. Wasn't disappointed for my second visit either. The salads are fresh and tasty, the steak was juicy, the pasta was mouth-watering, the cocktails fresh and refreshing, the staff very friendly, the service a bit slow, but I wasn't in a hurry anyway. Too bad it's so close to the street and a bit loud because of the cars. Overall a great experience, eager to eat there again.
The Palladio is not fine dining, but it offers enough to keep one happy. They do tapas, pizza, pasta and more. Sitting inside and outside is nice, though some places outside can be noisy as its next to a busy road. It's a good place..

It's a good place...for a casual get together with friends, for an informal business dinner or just to have something to nibble with your glass of wine.
Unquestionably the worst pizza I've ever eaten in a cafe/bistro/pizzeria/restaurant. A complete waste of money. From the freezer? Maybe, but I've had much better tasting pizza from the supermarket. The San Pellegrino mineral water was drinkable at least. Service? Too cool for school. Note to...staff: you are not in New York, you are in a backwater of southern Germany. It's back to the take-away pizza from Casa del Gusto for me (but not for the service their either). Ettlingen: too many people with too much money who have no idea about food.
I have been to Palladio, which is located in a very frequented area at the start of the pedestrian zone in Ettlingen, several times, mostly at lunchtime. Palladio is best described as a cafe and bistro at lunchtime and in addition a bar later on...the day. The interior does not provide anything special and has a bit of a used look. At lunchtime cleaning does not seem to keep up, so it can look a bit untidy. The kitchen is in the back of the bar, doors are open. This creates the problem that cooking smells disseminate in the entire restaurant. So prepare to smell like you were frying food yourself. The restrooms are ways to small and lack proper cleaning. The quality of service varies, it can be ok to horrible, depending on the day and the mood of the staff. A variety of different foods are offered on the (too) large menu. Most of it however tastes poorly. Minor requests to the kitchen to omit single ingredients are skillfully ignored, so why ask in the first place. In addition, prices are definitely not cheap at Palladio, especially considering what one is offered. I have decided to not visit this place again in the nearer future, it simply isn't worth it.
