After attending an auction in DeSoto, we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant that we didn't even know existed. We were served delicious dinners accompanied by apple butter. We tried the chicken fried steak and it was incredibly satisfying. The portion size was on the smaller side, so we can only imagine how generous the full-size portion must be. The food was delicious, but the service was lacking. The mistake was not checking the drink menu. I ordered a coffee, which was cold and priced at $2.39 with free refills. However, a hot tea was also $2.39, but it only came with a tea bag. A box of 100 tea bags is only $3.48 at Walmart, so it seems absurd to pay $2.39 for just one tea bag. The chicken was delicious, the service and atmosphere were great. The coconut cream pie was outstanding, and you could tell it was homemade!
I enjoyed the food and found the waitress to be friendly, although she did not check in to see if everything was okay. She did, however, bring extra napkins.
Sure. This restaurant is great. It's convenient and affordable. There is plenty of parking available. The staff is very patient and welcoming towards children.
Used to be a great breakfast spot but it's changed in the last year. Cheaper items more pre-made. Hoping it goes back to the way it used to be before.
