We come here for the hot pot at least a couple times every fall/winter, and it never disappoints. The tom yum broth is great, as is the housemade soy sauce (for dipping or for mixing), and they have a bright sweet-ish chili paste on request in addition to the usual toppings. Kaitlynn did a great job taking care of us. For drinks, the seasonal sake flight is always excellent and we also enjoyed the warm apple pie wine... View all feedback.
What Erina H doesn't like about Baba Sushi Sturbridge:
Made reservation, was seated right away. Hostess was very nice. We were a party of 5 seated at a table for 4 so we were crammed, didn’t have enough room to really eat and cook with all the items on the table. Waitress was nice, but not overly informative on how to do the hotpot. You don’t get much food when doing the hotpot, so we weren’t full. We did order fried ice cream, which took forever, and filled up on that.... View all feedback.
Amazing food!!! Great value, beautiful establishment and great service! Definitely a top 10 spot!
Everything about Baba is great! Except the water, don't drink the water!
Disappointing as we have been here meant times. Cocktails were reasonably priced, but had little or no alcohol. Food was fine, but definitely on the skimpy side. Stark decor made the room very loud even with just a few diners. Service was excellent, Jeremy. Not likely going back.
First time visitor(s), 530pm on a Friday. No parking issues, party of 2 seated immediately. More expensive than most other sushi I've had but no complaints about the quality. Everything was delicious. Only been to Kaizen down the street once and we would come back to Baba first. Nicer establishment
Love the vibe, food, and service at Baba. Yes, its competitor just up the street is also very good and probably beats for the sushi purists, but I really do prefer Baba. It's roomier, more low-key, and has some limited outdoor deck seating. Just be careful of the rusty wrought iron tables that need refinishing if you're wearing shorts or a skirt. Note to mgmt: The deck could also use some ceiling fans to keep the mosquitos away. It's a lovely place to dine; could be so much better with just a few small improvements! Hope Baba continues to do well in Fiskdale.
