The menu features delicious dishes like cheese and mushroom croquettes, heirloom beetroots with goats cheese, and beef cheek and ale pudding. The emphasis on fresh produce gives the comfort food a light and refined touch, perfect for winter. The attentive staff and excellent wine pairings result in a memorable dining experience. Although the restaurant is changing hands, it remains a wonderful place for special occasions, attracting diners from near and far for its impeccable service and delicious meals.
Unfortunately, the slow service greatly hindered my last dining experience.
We have visited The Commoner multiple times and can say that both the service and the food are outstanding. This restaurant will definitely see us again in the future.
We went for the 'feed me ' option and it was delicious!
The quality of food was exceptional, and service was friendly however a little slow. We had been there 1.5 hours before our main meal was served. Everything was flavourful and delicious!
