El Rio Grande - Florence

Awful experience! Everything started off well, but after we placed our order, our food was incorrect twice. Our server did not return for refills or to bring us our check for nearly an hour. We decided to order dessert, but it was a mistake as what we received was not what we ordered. It was a disappointing fried tortilla with a scoop of freezer-burnt ice cream. The churros we ordered for the kids also came with the same unpleasant ice cream, which they refused to eat. We typically are forgiving of service errors, but this dining experience was unacceptable. We will not be returning.

I was craving Mexican food and this restaurant did not disappoint! The food was delicious and plentiful. The arroz con pollo was exactly what I needed. I also tried the shredded chicken quesadilla which was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The 44oz margaritas were great too. I will definitely be back! Returned on 7/2 and once again was impressed with the food. This is my go-to spot in NoKy when I'm craving Mexican food. This time I tried the pitcher margarita and it was also fantastic.

Food was pretty good. Though everything is covered in the same cheese sauce. But fresh meat prepared fresh tasted pretty good. Biggest complaint was we were in a booth right on the other side of the bar which plays different music. So you're hearing both at the same time and it's really annoying. Also our server basically disappeared halfway through our meal. And two different servers finished us up. But not too bad a place to go. Food: 4

Said they were open but when I got there, there was a sign taped to the from door saying they have closed!? Disappointed!
