The Bell Inn - Forest of Dean

After attending a family funeral at the village church, we had refreshments at The Bell. The food was delicious and abundant, and Dave and Lisa were wonderful hosts. Thank you very much.

Located in a convenient local area, The Bell excels in almost every aspect except one. The beer and staff receive top marks, the food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. However, the presence of too many unattended dogs in the pub garden detracts from the overall experience. This is something that definitely needs to be addressed for a more enjoyable summer evening experience.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant with a group of four. I chose the nut roast and it was fabulous, while the others enjoyed the variety of meats available. Thank you to David, Lisa, and the entire staff for a great dining experience at this pub.

Really excellent and very reasonable Sunday carvery lunch, served with obvious pride by the owners. Choice of indoor bar, covered seating area or pleasant garden where we sat in the sunshine with our dog. Good choice of beers and ciders. A great honest country pub, Highly recommended.

Went for a lovely Sunday carvery at 2.30 All 3 of us had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Great value great choice of veg. I had a lovely nut roast. Puddings great. Lisa and David great hoist’s, staff friendly give this lovely pub a visit.
