Contribute FeedbackDespite some disappointing experiences, many patrons still enjoy the food and nostalgic atmosphere of dining at Neiman Marcus Cafe. However, recent visits have been met with slow service, dirty dishes on tables, and changes to the menu that have left some regulars feeling let down. While the popovers and strawberry butter remain a favorite, other menu items have left something to be desired. Inconsistent quality in food and service has caused mixed reviews, with loyal customers hoping for improvements to ensure the cafe maintains its reputation as a special dining destination.
Upon arrival we were greeted with the high top tables covered in dirty dishes. Which remained that way for sometime. Once seated we were told there were no popovers which is one of the main reasons for choosing to eat there. Had to remind server of our coffee while taking the last bite of dessert. Just not what I expect from Neiman Marcus!
We waited a good minutes before anyone even came to our table. It seems the service has gotten worse every time we come.
We had a lovely lunch! Food, thoâ pricey, was delicious and the service was very attentive.
Wanted a quiet lunch and some good conversation with friends. What we got were mediocre lunches (thankfully the muffin and broth were good as always). Two parties of women, then another party of women came in. Noise level was OFF the charts. We couldn't even talk to each other. We all suffered a headache from the loud din throughout the room. The three of us decided it will be a long while before we dine here again. We after quickly and split. Wanted to say something to the manager but apparently the manager is the chef and I'm not going to bother a chef when it's so busy in the restaurant. But I'd love to tell him how LOUD it was in there. This restaurant wasn't designed to accommodate large groups. There needs to be a separate private area for groups larger than Carpet the ceiling. Buffer the windows somehow.
So loud, dry cake, just nothing great about it except the popovers!!
