Really good bbq buffet!!! The premium buffet has so much variety with sashimi, sushi, noodles and great cuts of wagyu. The only issue I had was the service was very slow even though there were only 3 other tables that night. I’m not sure if they did that deliberately so that we ate less? Anyway, the food was nice and fresh. Lovely, spacious atmosphere. They validate parking as well! View all feedback.
What Concepcion Marvin doesn't like about Nikuya Japanese:
Food was ok although overpriced, took forever for the meals to come out. One meal came out approximately 20 minutes before the other two did. I had to ask where the other two were which came out however we received no apology or acknowledgement of this. My meal was also cold, seemed as though it had been sitting there waiting. I would not go here again, there are plenty of Japanese restaurants in this vicinity whom h... View all feedback.
Visited and gedimt in this restaurant on Saturday, 26 February 2018. we have the $59 everything they eat bbq. what a choice! we couldn't harm the service and the staff. they were so attentive, polite and professional. the restaurant looked clean...and spacious. the food was nice and fresh. keep them the good work nikuya. has loved their restaurant.
Came here for the bbq with our four young children and we all have absolutely filled and in love! we got the premium wagyu and everything was from meat to ice! the tasting barlet was great and the fresh and tasty aromas of the seafood had even roasted our five year old. the employees were all beautiful, beautiful decoration as well as we great value for money. can not wait to go back!
Omg. I can't believe we finish all that food! There were 8 of us and we ordered 4 of 2 for $58 deal plus extra of some veggie and seafood. Meat combination was impressive. If you are after meat, this place gives you good portion...for reasonable price. But because it's a BBQ it can get quite busy cooking them. So not the best spot if you want to really talk to someone. Check this place out with bunch of friends family.
Sashimi plater were amazingly fresh, wasabi were quite natural not the package one. Tonkatsu was yummy and big portion coming with rice and miso soup plus unlimited cabbage salad, and sesame seed for dipping. The down point is the salad sauces were not suitable with...my liking. Scallop Furay came with the same set up with tonkatsu but scallops were over cooked, they were a bit hard and not quite juicy any more.
I really love their kurobuta rosu katsu, just the right amount of crispy and melt-in-your-mouth pork. The sesame tonkatsu sauce combines with it for that great umami. Best katsu in Brisbane in my opinion. We also had the camembert cheese furai for entree. Surprisingly light...and just beautiful to start the meal off with. The zaru soba noodles were chewy and absolutely delightful as well. Suffice it to say, we walked out of there waddling like ducks, ducks with very happy stomachs leading the way ;
