What Toy Doyle doesn't like about Alfonso's Taco Shop:
My first visit today was extremely disappointing. We chose the daily special, two chicken enchiladas. There was no meat in it, just a few strands of shredded meat. It was full of grease and paprika. I noticed something black after I got a refill. Was there something black frozen in the ice cube? I brought it to the attention of the staff, but they didn't seem to care. The food was excellent, the portions were large, and the staff was friendly with quick and efficient service. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
The service is unacceptable and it is embarrassing that they try to pass off their food as Mexican cuisine. Perhaps they should consider taking a course on how to make authentic tacos and Mexican dishes on YouTube. I definitely will not be returning.
The food is prepared fresh, so be patient when ordering at the drive-through. The wait is worth it though! The burritos are huge, as big as my arm! They also serve breakfast. I love the Carne Asada Burrito. The fries are delicious as well!
Don't waste your money on fast food or some boiled barbecue restaurant around the corner. Yuck! Get real food at great prices at Alfonso's Taco Shop! Staff is always friendly in appreciates your business, your money stays local!
THE BEST mexican/texmex food in Frankfort. The price is reasonable, and the food is always so good without the grease and junk you get from other burrito shops.
