Demera Restaurant und Bar

This is a nice and cosy restaurant. The food they serve was good and tasteful. Prices are fair. Service was good. If you want to try Ethiopian food, it's a good place to go.

It's a nice cozy restaurant , I went on a Thursday for dinner when they have a buffet , the spread was fantastic , I have not been a lover for African food but after this visit it made me like it , good spread of meat dishes vegetables , salads and other side dishes , adviseble to make a reservation prior , the owners I believe is a family and they all make the customers happy .

We never ate Ethiopian food and had no idea what to expect but we do know when we are at a well run restaurant and this was well received. Had the combo for two which allowed us to taste a wide variety of their offerings. The food was tasty, the restaurant well decorated and clean and the service good. Nice first experience .. We will be back.

It was the first time we Ethopian food and it was great! Very kind service with good recommendations, fair prices and easy access as close by to the CTA. All in all pretty much choice and good taste.

We went to Demera on a Friday night and decided to share the Demera Special, a platter with a mix of vegetable and meat dishes. Everything was delicious, plenty and good value (the platter was 22 Euro for 2 persons). I also liked the atmosphere and staff was really friendly. I can't compare it to other Ethiopian restaurants in Frankfurt (except for Im Herzen Afrika, which is quite touristy in my opinion and I think also pricier), but a friend of mine who used to live in Ethiopia recommended Demera as her favourite. Will definitely come again!
