Bistro Salvatore - Frankfurt

Unfortunately, our reservation was canceled on the day we had reserved for, and only via e-mail. I had already made the reservation a few days before so that nothing can go wrong. I feel that unprofessional and little hospitable! Shame!

After enjoying the amazing view at night of the Frankfurt skyline from the Alte Brücke, I started looking for a place to eat dinner and tried my luck at Bistro Salvatore. The dining room is very small, and they place you typically near someone else, or even at someone else table, which didn't bother me at all. The atmosphere is uncomplicated, typical Italian "famiglia", so it is fitting. I exchanged a few words with my table neighbors, it was kind a fun.Service was fast and friendly. Got a large salad - tasty, fresh - and a pizza, whose bread was really crispy, and the topping generous. At the end, the bill was fair, 19€.My neighbors had an impressive appetizer plate of seafood. I'd recommend this to anyone, looked totally appealing and I will try it next time.Looks like this place has a good reputation in the area. During the hour I was there, several pairs of cops showed in and ordered a pizza to take-away. The waiter joked saying they collected 'protection money'. Good joke, totally fitting to the Italian character :-).For a lonely business dinner, this was a highlight in my week. I will gladly return when I'm in the vicinity. Until then, they deserve a good contribution from me on TripAdvisor.

Loved this place, know it's right on the street, so traffic noise is there, however it didn't take anything away from the service and the food. Salvatore is a hands on guy, really fun to hear his stories, he's a passionate owner. Great stop, I will come back here, you must try the beef which is served almost raw on top, and cooked on bottom, forgot what it was called, but the flavor was outstanding!!

Sep 4th at 11 pm i was looking for good Italian food and followed the advice of the hotel reception recommendation and guess what ?.It was the most amazing experience from the beginning till the end.We were welcomed by the restaurant owner who asked us what you want to eat looks like an open menu and how you like it to be oohh the food was one of the best.The place is family owned and operated ,staff are very friendly and social.For me i just can't ask for more.I let you with pictures to feel the food quality

Great Italian food with amazing service. Salvatore himself makes you feel very comfortable. He is a great host. The pasta was excellent in particular the pasta with mushrooms and excellent veal with vegetables.
