Contribute FeedbackThe American Taphouse in Franklin offers a mixed experience, as highlighted by various customer reviews. Some patrons were impressed with the food quality, especially during happy hour, where the service and prices were deemed unbeatable. The selection of draft beers was outstanding, and the dining experience was enjoyable when the weather allowed for outdoor seating. However, there were several complaints about the lack of reservations on certain days, slow service, and issues with Open Table bookings. Some customers noted that while the food had potential, there were inconsistencies in preparation, particularly with items like shrimp tacos and truffle fries. Despite these drawbacks, there is hope that the American Taphouse will continue to improve and fulfill its promise of offering a great dining experience.
Unfortunately they were not well occupied, but the waitress we had was very apologetic! from many things on the menu and eating was cold!
It was a good experience overall but we witnessed a poor couple that sat down to wait for a table right when we were seated and they were still waiting when we finished. The waitress was sweet but they are just short staffed like so many restaurants. Pro Tip- reserve your table online.
A little disappointed to be honest. Obviously understaffed so everything took longer. The server was doing his best but seemed overwhelmed trying to keep up. Food was good very large portions. The bean dip in the trio appetizer was the best part of our meal. We sat outside and traffic noise was a bit much.
The single worst dining experience I have ever had. 25 minute greet from being seated, 20 more minutes to receive drinks, and bland, terrible food. Unfortunately it seemed like the neighboring tables were having a similarly bad time.
We loved the food (the Bama Chicken was great) and the musician was really good. We plan to go again next Monday to hear him again.
