First time visiting and placed an order for Father's Day (day-of). Staff was very friendly and helpful, I knew they'd likely be very busy but they were super accommodating. I ordered the BBQ Picnic, it came with good portions. If you have vegetarians in your party, as I did, the Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad and Coleslaw are good options. Mac and cheese was delicious! What Dylan Leffin doesn't like about The Bone:
It's BBQ, it was good but definitely not the best. If I had an itch this place does satisfy. Had the brisket (moist), sausage, and meatloaf. Meatloaf and sausage were dry. Mac and cheese was good. Brisket was good too. View all feedback.
This place is worth checking. we visited gainesville last time and really enjoyed it. I know we had the brisket, pork, smoked chicken and pork afteros and enjoyed it all. also the local and craftsmen enjoyed. no photos for you. recruit their bbq sauces. it was nice to go back.
Does not honor your own gift cards. also cucks for a handful brisket that would let her run out of the city in Texas. very mediocre courts. dreadful management
Incredibly good food! great staff too. we were very impressed.
Do not be fooled by the position in a raised strip mall. this little jewel delivers on its hearty promise of delicious smoked brisket, pulled pork and st. louis ripen. and we do not forget the honey bourbon wings. yum! when they travel from DC to charlottesville or go south in gainesville, va, they find their way to this smokehouse. it's really bad for the bone!
Don't Bother... Basically another version of Red Hot and Blue only worse. We ordered the meat combo with St. Louis ribs and chicken. The ribs were rubbery and difficult to eat, the chicken was very over done and rubbery like the boiled it before they smoked it. Had the potato salad which was nothing spectacular. About the only good thing I have to say about this place is they have a good beer selection.
