Contribute FeedbackThe Pelican Club offers a mixed dining experience with a bright, upscale atmosphere reminiscent of an old movie set. While the gumbo stands out as a highlight, some entrees, like the Parmesan crusted snapper and lamb, are slightly disappointing due to overpowering flavors. Service received mixed reviews, with slower service and poorly trained waitstaff mentioned. Still, the restaurant week special is praised as one of the best meals ever had. Despite some hiccups, the Pelican Club remains a solid dining choice, especially for those seeking an intimate atmosphere and well-prepared dishes.
The food was delicious. The presentation was beautiful. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was wonderful. I will miss this place
This is one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I had the restaurant week special. Everything was superb including the chocolate dessert I'm not a chocolate fan
Food was good on the expensive side but we knew that going in. Service was SLOW both in the Bar area and Dining room. Slow Service was mentioned many times on other reviews too. Probably won't go back to Galveston to eat there. Will try somewhere else next time
Food and atmosphere all you could ask. New items that keep the interest. Squash salad really unique
Nice atmosphere and food was good. My husband's venison dish was excellent. That being said, the waiter was poorly trained, didn't know menu, and could not pour a glass of wine without dribbling it on the table. Not sure if will revisit
