Essence Of India - Garibaldi Highlands

Came here with a friend after a backpacking trip. Absolute amazing food, had the wild salmon masala and chicken tikka masala. Good spice level and great flavor. Great service, special shout-out from the younger waitress, hope your backpacking trip went good!

Dark environment, food took 1 HOUR to come.Bland butter chicken, no salt in Roti, Biryani was just veg PULAO with chicken.Only the waitresses were polite, and washrooms were clean. that's the best I can say about the place.Overall its a 2 star....

This restaurant is a fantastic place for Indian cuisine. The staff was very accommodating as seven of us placed takeout orders. The food was exceptionally delicious and packed with flavor, and the portion sizes were quite generous. I could have shared a main dish, but it was so tasty that I ate the whole thing myself. I highly recommend trying the vegetable samosas. If you can't handle too much spice, I suggest sticking with a level 1 (which I found to be very mild). However, I ordered a level 3 and found it to be pleasantly spicy.
