Charming restaurant, beautiful outdoor dining area when weather is nice. Menu is a slightly more expensive than your usual German restaurant but well worth it. Large menu selection and excellent customer service.

Let me first say that the apple strudel was first rate! Set the standard for me of a dessert that I love the name and taste of. After that, not a whole lot to commend the restaurant. They were out of the dish that both my wife and I wanted. So we went with second choices, a Dover sole that was overcooked and a shrimp scampi that was drenched in oil. The beer was adequate - which in Bavaria is nothing to sneeze at - but not memorable. We would neither recommend nor go back to this restaurant without exploring a lot of other options.

My friends and I chose this place as an alternative to the many fine Bavarian restaurants in the area. The prices are 30% higher than many other places, but we found that the taste of all of the different dishes made it worthwhile. The wienerschnitzel was very tasty and tender, not overly salty, and it came with a wonderful salad that had a variety of fruits and vegetables, including pomegranate seeds. It was great. The meal plus 1 glass of beer was 23 Euros. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and well-lit; the service was ok, though they seemed relatively less well-prepared to handle Anglophone diners. No worries.

Tried this restaurant on the basis of T A reviews. Booked a table but restaurant almost empty. Despite this the two main courses took 50 minutes to arrive. They were very average with little taste, although the portions were large. The prices here are higher than the normal prices in Germany which we come to every couple of months, which would not be a problem if the food was good, but sadly neither I and my wife enjoyed our meals. We are in Garmisch for a week but will not eat here again. We love German food so were very sad that this was not as we would expect. The service was ok, but obviously the cook was unable to keep up. As there is room for at least 60 people and about 20 diners at most I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We ate at this restaurant twice on our three night visit in Garmisch because it was so delicious! The service is fantastic! A reservation is recommended as there are not very many tables inside. We were visiting in winter so the outside seating area was not open. We would most definitely eat here again!
