The Auberge communal de Meyrin is a special address to visit when you are in Geneve. If you are in Geneve downtown you can take the train and in less than 10 minutes you will be in the stop of MEYRIN. You can have the address and the map easily in google. They have dishes fantastic if you enjoy French cuisine near the countryside. The people are very gentil and help you to choose a good dish. View all feedback.

We had been to the Auberge Communale de Meyrin some years ago and had been very satisfied. There must have been a change in management there, or a change of cooking staff, or perhaps both. We went for the chasse. They have an interesting chasse selection. We took the selle de chevreuil proceeded by a salad. The salad was never served. Food was delivered on a large attractive platter and carved at the table. You would think this to be a plus but the gentleman carving the food did not do this delicately. The food itself, first serving, tasted reasonably good except for the red cabbage which seemed to have been made with turmeric bizarre. The dish lacked certain of the elements that one would traditionally expect replaced by others that one would not expect. The large platter was taken away to the kitchen and the second service delivered on hot plates after quite a delay. One had the suspicion that the meat was different. Good apple crumble for desert. The restaurant was full on a Saturday night. Service left a lot to be desired. The chef did apologise for the service. Prices in line with Geneva prices. All in all, not a great experience, will not be going back.
A stay in this hotel/hostel is a time travel experience. Once you enter the room you are in the 70's. It's clean but outdated. Therefor the price is much too high.
Dans ce restaurant, nous avons commandé une entrecôte grillée (38 CHF). Après un premier essai peu convaincant, l’équipe n’a pas hésité à servir la même pièce de viande que celle prévue au plat du jour (18 CHF), bien différente de celle commandée. Malgré nos réclamations et l’évidence de la situation, nous n'avons eu que de la mauvaise foi en retour … sans réduction de l’addition. Serveuse on ne peut plus désagréable.

La cuisine y est tres bonne, en particuliers certains plats tel que la bourguignonne avec de vraies sauces faites maison.Le service est tres efficace et le personnel tres agreable et chaleureux. On ne peut pas ne pas laisser de pourboire.Par contre cote vins, rouges en tout cas, j ai un peu tout essaye, rien de vraiment terrible, bien que le patron soit un reel amateur que l on a toujours plaisir a voir
