The three of us had a delicious evening here.Make sure you grab a bottle of wine to bring here as it is a BYOThe service is exceptional - friendly and accomodating. We were very fussy and asked for variations to the dishes - which was not a problem - a clear indication they were cooking fresh dishes.Fish cakes - spicy and freshly made and rich in herb flavours - we asked for 6 even though they came as an entree of 4.F... I went here with my friend to celebrate catching up as we both turned 50 in the year, we were at another place and left due to noise from a christmas party. When you first walked in it looks like it needs a good coat of paint and some updating,The service was very friendly, even though the trainee waitress got confused with the tables, but everyone has to start somewhere. The food was the biggest let down, some of the... Waited 1 hour (maybe more than 1 hour) to get 2 dishes (1 tamarind fish and 1 Tom yum soup). People who came later than us were served first. After 2nd attempts of reminding our food after an hour, dishes came out in rush. We requested to make the fish dish as spicy as possible, but it turned out really sweet.
Convenient location, right on the Main Street. Visited with some work colleagues. Ordered the beef mussaman, the lemongrass chicken and a pork dish. All very nice though although the standout was the lemongrass chicken ... amazing flavor.
Loved my meal tonight. delicious prawns super fresh and tasty. worth a visit. Plate cost not particularly cheap but worth it for a nice night out.
Delicious fresh produce used to cook super tasty meals and takeaways Great value lunches and deals Love eating here
Arrived in Geraldton and walked Marine Terrace for somewhere to dine, we passed a Chinese restaurant which was completely empty (never a good sign!!) and then found Tantis which was full of patrons.Upon requesting a table for four we were informed by the young man that they were "all booked up!" - the owner however rushed to us as we were going out of the door and informed us she would set a table in the adjoining room. When the waitress came she couldn't even understand our request for four glasses of water, not a good start!!The menu choice is quite extensive, however, the quality was mediocre and the tastes unbalanced. Honeyed Prawns for example, were drowned in sour tasting balsamic or something which completely ruined the dish. The venue itself is unimaginative and too brightly lit to be described as intimate. Rather shabby and in need of an update.Sadly we have since found, this is about as good as it gets in Geraldton.Would we go again ....reluctantly, yes, as the choice of alternatives is very limited.
