owner saverio virgilio understands it excellent to pamper his guests. at the beginning they will pass the chalkboard and explain the specialties of the day. all dishes are recommended. they pay a little more, they eat better than the Italians around the corner. in summer they can sit in the open. creations come from the chef himself, partly also from his long-standing experienced chef. They wanted a meal and traveled back to the airport frankfurt, so moved from the main car and found this place by travel advisor. I wanted to have a meal in a typical German village. the environment was great and the restaurant was exactly what I wanted for a lunch. freshly cooked food. typical German with large service and price.
It was Sunday when many a city in Germany is quite closed, but we happened to be happy during the trip from frankfurt to mannheim and there was a fair thing so that shops were open; there were also food trucks, but we stayed in this...loving, original old building apartment ristorante il gufo. what a luck! we enjoyed a delicious meal 1 carving and 1 hand rolled noodles with tomato sauce both excellent. the service was attentive and friendly and we were so happy.

Unglaublich gemütliches italienisches Restaurant (sowohl innen als auch der Innenhof). Sehr ausgefallene Speisekarte incl. Tagesempfehlungen, ein wirkliches Geschmackserlebnis. Sehr netter Service, Wir kommen gerne wieder
Spargel roh in feinen Scheiben geschnitten mit olivenöl ein Gedicht. Personal aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.
