Country Boy Restaurant - Gimli

Went to country boy with the gimli soccer team ordered swirls the owner seen we are a local team. GAVE US FREE ICE CREAM. What a great establishment giving back to the community so appreciated. Thank you you country boy the ice cream was great!

The atmosphere is retro and very clean, the staff is friendly and the food it excellent. They do get quite busy but are quite quick to get your food cooked and out to you.

Food is ok. But not very friendly and fairly expensive. For the price i would have hoped they would have gotten the order right, and given dipping sauce for the fingers... which they didnt. Ordered take out and didnt come with any any napkins or cutlery either.

As an old customer, food is amazing and great. Working there, was treated very poorly. The boss told me if i didn’t know something, she doesn’t need me. the only thing i enjoyed while working there, was the nice customers and the 2 brothers that also worked there. very sweet and kind. I don’t recommend working there, especially if you have bad anxiety. She’s the boss, yes, so she can tell you what to do. But to a certain point. You don’t grab kids and yell at them, and threaten to fire them. Just plain wrong to do that to anyone. Quitting made my happiness much better, and made me focus on myself stop worrying. This is just a small snippet of what went on. There is so much more. More workers need to come forward about what goes on behind the scenes of this place. Or i will.

The best fish on the block!! Perfectly battered and seasoned. Sweet staff in a great 50s Diner ambiance. The poutine is fantastic too.
