What Olga Cartwright doesn't like about Holdfast Hotel:
Visited for drinks and nibbles with my partner... Have never felt so disappointed
$25 for a tasting plate that was stone cold, sloppy and the poorest quality of food. We mentioned our meal was cold, it got taken back and "zapped" in the microwave, inc. the salad that was on there. can see why this place has completely gone downhill over the past couple of years, I urge you not to waste your money.

Good hotel with various dining, good drink selection and good service for a maid birthday dinner. though a large room was a little loud and felt comfortable.
Margarita pizza was really bad. service very hit and miss. they can certainly find better elsewhere. definitiw from my list
My man and I have recently been here. for the net I ordered a shiny carving with pfeffer sauce, chips and salat and nabeby ordered the bark carving. we really enjoyed our meals. both carvings were nicely cooked, the salat was made fresh, the serviettes were generous and the prices are very reasonable. the waiting staff was efficient and the service was fast. we are coming back to the final.
My wife and I plus 2 friends met yesterday for the first time in the holdy. we all enjoyed our meal, be mine the seafood trio, and the others all had different meal times. the service was fast, friendly and efficient. meals and drinks. were reasonably priced with a fairly wide wine list. the dining room was spacious and quite bright and airy with sufficient green etc. I would certainly recommend
Had lunch on the 19th Feb ordered the steak sandwich/burger and it was the worst i have ever had tough and cold. The service was really bad the restaurant wasn't even full had hardly anyone there and we still had to ask for table service...constantly. Spoke to a person there and they weren't even interested in the issue. The hospitality industry are asking people to support them and I come across this attitude I for one will not be going there again and I will tell every one I know how bad the Holdy is!
