Firstly the council is on the right track to make China Town in Southport. The Atmosphere is improving as great little restaurants call this home. The Wagyu beef salad was incredible, the teriyaki chicken don was particularly nice, however the gyoza was disappointing. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a really nice casual Japanese meal. Ok food, went twice second time had to sit out on the footpath dining area. If you don't mind being asked to prepay you're meal it's probably ok. Given I'd spent $74 a couple of nights before for dinner I found it a bit odd. Maybe she didn't think a middle aged Business man looked honest! View all feedback.
A typical good Japanese restaurant. Not sparkling clean and shows the signs of popularity. Not cheap but quality. Eat inside or out.
Best Karaage chicken ever! Juicy on the inside the crunchy on the outside. The miso was fantastic as well, can't fault this place. Definitely one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants. Great staff, great food, will definitely be back again!
An amazing place if you are craving to have some amazing sushi. They provide one of the best. Also they have some amazing spider rolls. Must go.
If the Japanese residents of the Gold Coast ever tire of the year-round warm weather, sunshine, and stunning beaches and decide to relocate to Melbourne, I would eagerly welcome them with open arms for more dining establishments like this one. Located in the heart of Chinatown, this trendy restaurant offers a delicious sashimi chirashi that resembles a sushi bowl. The use of sushi rice adds to the overall experience, with its slightly vinegared white grains serving as the perfect base for the fresh and tender slices of seafood. The wagyu don is also a standout dish, expertly cooked to a beautiful pink hue. While the rice could benefit from less Kewpie and sweet soy mix, allowing the beef to shine on its own, the overall meal is extremely satisfying. I would definitely return for another meal at this restaurant.
I absolutely love the Japanese food at this restaurant! I ordered the pork Katsu don and it was delicious. The decorations are nice and really transport you to Japan. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for the wonderful meal, it really made my day!
