What can I say but....simply incredible!! We stopped when visiting Goolwa (headed to do the Great Ocean Drive)...and had the most delicious afternoon snack. The ham-off-the-bone sandwich was one of the best sandwiches we've ever had. And the brownie was to die for (don't forget the whipped cream!!). Heavenly!! We are planning to return for breakfast before hitting the road!! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Cafe Lime:
It must be trendy to wait ages for a coffee before the food eventually comes. It was not busy but still took ages. Went in again a few days later to get cakes off the shelf and that took 10 mins to buy a shelf item. Food it good and it's a good little spot to sit View all feedback.
Lime cafe is one of the few 'boutique' places you can go in this small country town that doesn't purely serve steal schnitzels and fish and chips.

We went on a long weekend so Goolwa was very busy. We decided to have coffee and cake at The Lime Cafe. I had the lemon pie
I had lunch at this restaurant while on holiday a couple of years ago, but hadn't been back since. I noticed they had done some renovations and now the place is filled with lime green accents. The menu was still interesting and the service was quick, but the prices have gone up and are now a bit expensive for us. The milkshake and coffee were both delicious, and they had a great selection of cakes. I enjoyed sitting outside on the street for a pleasant dining experience. The bathroom was cute and located at the back, with a hand basin inside the cafe.
Excellent coffee and the scones are second to none ... in fact , one serve = one ( very large) scone, which comes with jam and fresh cream, was more than enough for two people .I had a second coffee !Whilst we did not have any alcohol , we noted the wine list was very good , as was the beer and cocktails selection and the general food menu .Worth another visit for a meal with drinks
