New Century Restaurant - Grand Forks

If I could give this restaurant a -5, I would. asked for a beverage menu and said that I should just order whatever, no B3verage menu. no way to know what the cost was. I asked for coffee. waited 10 minutes and had to ask again. at seeing, but no sugar, so I had to ask for sugar. no smiling from the personal, treated like an angry one. I cleaned out my meal (a 1 person combo) and put in the middle of the table with a servier spoon in it and side plates. it was warm, although it was just served. I did not bring out other items at the same time, so that I was forced to eat or eat before my invited Christmas guest (oh yes, Christmas day.) when I then tried to comment politely on the bad customer service the woman turned it around me and told me that I could go to the other restaurant. they had their family on a side of the restaurant and sat on the other side, from which they understood. If they did not want to serve customers on Christmas days, they should have stayed closed. lukewarm and overpriced eating with terrible customer service. definitiw no place to visit or to order from the out.

Great food, quick service. super clean. from all western Chinese places I have eaten at this is the best. highly recommended.

To visit grand forks had delivery to the motel. eating was great, fast, hot and much of it. dinner for one was enough for 3, but only 1 pkg soy sauce.

We have been eating here for over 15 years. eating is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the cuddles in black bean garlic sauce! they have a great choice and they even have ice cream!

Four years ago, we lived at Christina Lake, BC, and would visit the New Century at least once a month, because we normally held community meetings here. I wasn't too crazy about the food back then. Fast forward to today, they have greatly improved their...fare, and I hear it's because there is new competition in the area (2 newer Chinese restaurants). This time, we all had the buffet. They offered lots of options, but I chose the Chicken Mushroom Noodles, the Ginger Beef, fried squid, fried prawns, and a big load of vegetables. All the dishes were much improved from 4 years ago, and I will definitely be returning. They offer many desserts, and I had pie ice cream. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. We were holding a meeting and they let us stay with no hassles for about 4 hours. With so much to offer, I can recommend this restaurant.
