This restaurant is a hidden gem for a nice lunch by the river. It is located in a historic lodge with tables available overlooking the river and surrounded by evergreen trees. The lunch menu offers a variety of options including burgers and BBQ. I tried the bousin burger on a sweet potato bun with pomegranate relish, which was delicious and filling. The power salad with kale, roasted zucchini, mandarin oranges, cranb... View all feedback.

A little pricey but I only say that as a warning for the knowledge because well worth the money. Not the everyday meal but an amazing treat now and again or special occasion. I think their lunch menu is probably more economical and can be taken advantage of more. However, the staff were amazing.
My husband's dish was spectacular! My dish was kind of plain and the fish seemed watery (no pun intended lol) overall it's a great place by the river with amazing service! Prices are a bit out of hand for what you get though. Still very happy with our visit
On a Thursday night in February there's not much going on in the town of Grand Lake but we had heard that the Rapids Lodge and Restaurant was a must visit during our stay. What we heard was right. This is a fine dining establishment so it's a bit pricey but well worth it. The service was great and the food was delicious. The meal started with a cup of Southwestern black bean soup which had just the right amount of kick for a cold February night. After the soup, a berry sorbet was served as a pallet cleanser. For entrees, the ravioli was really good and the pork chop was the best pork chop I've ever had. Apparently they butcher their meats to order and they are not shy about how much they cut off per serving. The pork chop that was brought to the table was two bones and about 3 inches thick! How do you even cook a pork chop that thick without overcooking it on the outside or under cooking it on the inside? I don't know but they have figured it out at the Rapids Lodge and Restaurant! The grill flavor along with the glaze was so, so good.I am pretty sure that this is the type of restaurant where you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area and want a special meal.

Good place for dinner in Grand Lake in the winter. Not a lot of options for a fancy dinner in GL in winter but this checked the right boxes for a birthday dinner for the wife. Would like to see it in summer so will go back again.
