The restaurant had a great variety of food, and I really enjoyed the seafood cakes and bacon. The smoked salmon was good, but I was disappointed that the fish station wasn't refilled promptly. The live omelet station was a nice touch, and the dessert section was better than average. The French toast was well made, and the salami shrimp were tasty. Our server, Hunter, was very pleasant and attentive, keeping our drink... View all feedback.
Very good! Pretty expensive but worth what you pay. I had the white fish, was very satisfied! I'd come back here.
I highly recommend dining at Troy at Holiday Inn or Charley's Crab in Grand Rapids. It was the best meal I've had in the city. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
It has been 15 years since we last visited Charley's Crab. We randomly decided to give their Sunday brunch a try, even though we were concerned that this iconic restaurant might only rely on its reputation and history.
We sat out side on a very hot day. No fully recommended as at times there is no breeze. Waiter kept forgetting to bring us dishes and silverware as the tables outside are not setup. Overall service was great and they were very accommodating. Scallops were yummy. I got the surf turf and my boyfriend got the lobster. Lobster was a tad salt but yummy. Steak was prepared well and could be cut with a butter knife. Can be on the pricey end depending on what you get but that is to be expected. Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu.
The lobster was excellent, but seemed a little on the small side for a Maine tail. The Swordfish was good, but the Dynamite sauce made it excellent! Our waitress was nice, but wasn't the best at giving suggestions about the menu. A nice bonus was the free parking and complimentary valet that is hard to find in downtown GR. Overall, it was a great tasting meal.
