Did not go to the Springvale Botanical Cemetery expecting to stay for lunch. We walked past and loved the setting. In the shade under a magnificent gum tree we had a homemade frittata and fresh sandwiches both were very tasty. We want gack for the scones but they had sold out. What User doesn't like about Vita Et Flores:
the caffe is a wonderful place to sit and is part of my rituals after I visited the digging of my parents. please bring the muffins back. they were delicious and to say they are now only available at the weekend was disappointing. View all feedback.
This is a charming little cafe in the Springvale Botanical Cemetary.
The worst cafe experience ever. On Tuesday August 1st we after visiting my daughters resting place we went to the Café Vita et flores – Springvale at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery. We ordered tea, coffee and two serves of scones, jam and cream. It appeared they were catering a large group in the corner. Our drinks arrive and we finished them and our cups were removed. Twenty minutes after this I gave up waiting and re-entered the queue to be told they were very busy and the scones arrived. They weren’t hot so why not just give them to us with our drinks? One bite and I left mine my wife was very distressed refusing to even try hers and the lady clearing up told us again they were very busy. What annoys me is that people from the large group kept getting up and ordering items that were delivered immediately. They should close if they are catering a private function.Tom [email protected]

The also has Jazz on Sundays !!
Well, there needs to be somewhere to eat when you visit the Springvale Botanical Cemetery, & kudos for getting the setting right & the atmosphere reasonable for such an awkward time. Sensible meals with variety at reasonable prices given you are a captive audience.
Cafe vita et flores is Latin. in English it can be translated as live and flowers. it is a modern caffe near the beginning to the botanical cemetery of springvale. they can order meals or drinks such as chai latte, hot chocolate with marshmallows, coffee or tea. The cafe is a place to recover from the interference of a loved one. I have been there several times recently. a good hot drink makes a sad occasion less painful.
