McKelvies - Halifax

Service was excellent and the food absolutely fantastic. A great location for those livingstaying in the area of the Halifax waterfront. We had oyster that were clean and fresh. Our shrimp appetizer was fresh and tasty. We both had lobsters salads which were inventive and so good

After reading reviews it was easy to decide to go to Mckelvies while in Halifax. We waited until the morning of to make a reservation and our only option was or I was excited to have my first full lobster in Nova Scotia and unfortunately it was very overcooked. I couldn't even eat the tails they were so rubbery.My boyfriend's meal of surf and turf with a lobster on the other hand was great. I would have informed the server of my issue but she came by only immediately after our food was delivered by another waiter before we could take a bite. After that she didn't come by our table even to get us another drink.At that point what's done was done so I left very disappointed

Great dinner, our waiter was excellant. Will do it again next time we visit Halifax
