This place serves $4 pints of Alexander Keith's every evening. Best deal in town. It has a huge patio which is always full--great atmostphere--and there servers and bartenders are dealing with the volume well. I only ate fries here, which were tasty. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Niche Lounge:
I've gone to Niche probably 5-6 times since moving in on the next street over and every time has just been okay; until tonight. After waiting at least 30 minutes for a table at 5pm let me add, we waited another 20 to get waited on. Now i know that Niche is "always busy" but it was 5PM! The waitress assured us our food would be out in 30 minutes. Let's just say it took 1 hour and 15.. Oh and best part, I ordered the G... View all feedback.
I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. I opted for the club sandwich with a side of fries. The food was tasty, but I think it could be improved with a lighter choice of bread. The nachos were average, as expected. My friends had the mac and cheese, which looked great but was just okay in taste. I was a bit surprised to be charged for mayo, a basic condiment for sandwiches. It wasn't a lot of money, but it was a disappointing end to the meal.
Liked my first time being here. The food was decent. Everything went better because of the staff! They have a lot of tables tho to accommodate groups of people!
Hosted a large meet and greet event in the 2 private rooms. The food and service was excellent and the atmosphere and space was perfect for what we were looking for. Highly recommended booking these rooms for any event!
Our visit to niche was excellent! Dining with friends, we all enjoyed our meals and took advantage of the fantastic happy hour specials. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant were exceptional. While all of our dishes were tasty, the pulled pork mac and cheese stole the show (though we forgot to snap a picture of it).
This new version of a well-known Halifax establishment is a definite improvement over their previous location. However, the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit unclear. Is it aiming to be a sports bar or a lounge? It seems to have a bit of an identity crisis. The vibe is reminiscent of chain restaurants like Boston Pizza or Jack Astor's.
