Factory Hasselbrook - Hamburg

Factory is a lovely converted train station with a great atmosphere and a simple but effective menu. The food was very good, the beer excellent and the service spot on. I would definitely go again.

It was a nice summer day in Hamburg. I wanted to meet with friends at the Factory. Somehow they closed the restaurant room and only opened the garden restaurant. I mentioned to the staff that they allowed amoking everywhere in the Beergarden. The response was: "oh my goodness they smoke in the garden and you might be close to it. How horrible." Of course I went somewhere else.

Well priced delicious food with a nice atmosphere. Close to main S1 train station, just a short trip from the HBF

This is a big pub restaurant in an old train station building with a large beer garden. The beer is great, the food basic and filling and the atmosphere very lively. It gets busy so best book a table. The service is pretty slow but otherwise it's a great place.

Factory Hasselbrook is located in the old station buildings at Hasselbrook. There is a large Biergarten but as the weather was very bad when we visited we were forced to go inside. Despite being quite early on a Monday evening evening almost all tables were taken but luckily the waiter soon found us a table. There is a "house beer" brewed by a "North German" brewery (we couldn't find out further details) but it was very palatable and good value by Hamburg standards. The food was was also generous in portion, good quality and good value. Only 5 minutes East of the centre on the S Bahn it is well worth a visit. Hopefully the sun will be shining on my next visit.
