Hathi - Hamburg

Planned for a lunch and decided to go to hathi. Heard from friends that they offer a lunch buffet for 7.90€ from 12 to 2 30 pm. Interior of the restaurant gives a good traditional Indian feel. Service was good. They provide rice with chicken and fish curry. Both curries are ok. Chicken curry was not so creamy, to compensate the chicken, curry was watery and sweety to taste. Fish curry is not up to the mark. And also they provide three vegetable dishes. All three were ok. Potato was little good as per Indian needs (spicy level is good). For snacks they offer hot pakora it's really good. They also provide mango yoghurt. If u really want to taste Indian mango lassi please don't go for this mango yogurt which comes along with buffet. There is a separte Indian lassi in the menu card which costs around 4€ go for it. Overall the buffet satisfied 60% of my expectation.

Im hathi there are delicious Indian specialties. the food is excellent and tastes as it tastes original india. the ambiente of the restaurant acts a bit sober and open. but also this is in india so, including the desire to sing on the tables. So whoever goes to eat in hathi is going to indie for a short trip.

This buffet was just so sad and so small (I went to lunch) no salad, no sweet, not really much choice. everything on my dish just looked brown and eating had more or less the same taste no matter what I ate. I expect from a buffet that I can mix and select what is certainly not possible here.

Were the first guests of the evening. of cleanliness in the restaurant no trace. everywhere were spinnwebs and on the window bench lay proper ditch. the house is generally needed from inside and outside. it took forever to get its appetizers. After 90 min we asked how long the main dishes still need (we were there with a 4 year old child). after 15 min the food came (shadow it in). We wanted to eat at home and bring children to bed. 1 eating was completely incorrectly packed and at the other smelled the meat old and had a sour taste. the supplements were partly raw. this restaurant cannot be recommended.

We were 18 o'clock in restaurant after 45 minutes we got the appetizer.(some nice with poultry meat)After another 45 minutes we asked what is with our main dish. because she still took a little while, we let her pack in. because we were still there with a small child. arrived at home we noticed that eating was totally wrong (with cocosnus, makes good when you have an allergy to nuts). the other one was right. infestations were partly still raw the meat was old. to make it short we spent 2 hours for a lot of money there. the ambiente leaves much to be desired. it's dirty everywhere. even where the fat is standing, the dirt would be removed quickly with a knife, well noticed that eating was already on the fat. as the headline already says who has a lot of time and money to give away and has no problem with dir can go there. it is a point, but unfortunately you can't make a minus, because that would be more appropriate.
